Vacuum Casting |
Vacuum casting is a duplication process which compliments stereolithography in producing pre- and small production runs.. Prototypes and parts built for functional purposes are produced by pouring a specific resin onto a SLA model placed in a prepared silicon form under vacuum conditions. Even the most complicated forms with rear sections can be produced without air bubbles. The applied casting materials have different mechanical properties varying from very soft to very hard and are mostly resistant to high temperatures. Moreover, the materials can be easily dyed. We have provided you with a selection of the applied resins here on our internet site. |
